HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEA:
To celebrate my sister turning 30 and after a day at the races the day before which involved drinking a few too many, we decided to throw her a birthday tea.
My Mum went to the very lovely effort of making hundreds of triangle sandwiches filled with egg mayonnaise, tuna, ham and cheese and cucumber. She also made her a very tasty birthday cake from an old family recipe and had a lot of fun going around the supermarket picking out all of the cakes we used to eat as children at parties such as jam tarts, pink wafers and fondant fancies.
We were all so full afterwards and still have so many cakes left over - I’m not complaining.
